Officer Structure & Duties

Commander TBD Presides over post meetings, represents the post, ensures bylaws and AMVETS National policies are followed.
1st Vice Commander TBD Assists the Commander, oversees membership and programs, assumes Commander duties when absent.
2nd Vice Commander TBD Oversees the cantina/bar operations and fundraising activities.
Adjutant TBD Maintains post records, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
Finance Officer TBD Manages post finances, dues collection, and financial reporting.
Chaplain TBD Provides spiritual support and leads invocations at official functions.
Sergeant-at-Arms TBD Maintains order during meetings, manages post property and security.

Bylaws & Rules

Article I - Name and Purpose

This organization shall be known as AMVETS Post 292. Its purpose is to serve veterans, their families, and the surrounding community in accordance with AMVETS National bylaws.

Article II - Membership

Membership is open to honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and active/reserve members, per AMVETS National eligibility requirements.

Article III - Meetings

Regular post meetings are held monthly. Special meetings may be called by the Commander with appropriate notice to members.

Article IV - Officers

Officers are elected annually by the membership and serve one-year terms unless otherwise specified. See the Officers page for current officer duties.

Article V - Conduct

Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully on post property at all times. Violations may be addressed by the Sergeant-at-Arms or post leadership.
