Officer Structure & Duties

Bylaws & Rules
Article I - Name and Purpose
This organization shall be known as AMVETS Post 292. Its purpose is to serve veterans, their families, and the surrounding community in accordance with AMVETS National bylaws.
Article II - Membership
Membership is open to honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and active/reserve members, per AMVETS National eligibility requirements.
Article III - Meetings
Regular post meetings are held monthly. Special meetings may be called by the Commander with appropriate notice to members.
Article IV - Officers
Officers are elected annually by the membership and serve one-year terms unless otherwise specified. See the Officers page for current officer duties.
Article V - Conduct
Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully on post property at all times. Violations may be addressed by the Sergeant-at-Arms or post leadership.
